A multinational materials technology and recycling company wanted to modernize its infrastructure to improve application performance, meet its growing bandwidth demands, and support more cloud and Internet use. Its legacy infrastructure, which combined MPLS and Internet services from two different vendors, was being largely managed in-house and did not provide the flexibility it required, or support its global growth ambitions. The company sought an outsourcing partner who could offer a hybrid approach that managed all networks together. Key to this was delivering high levels of application performance across its entire global infrastructure. It was running a range of different applications on different platforms and found that performance often suffered, particularly for applications that used the Internet. It wanted greater control and visibility of its IT estate and a solid platform for future growth that would enable it to adapt to current and future business opportunities. This includes moving more applications to the cloud. • Improved application performance worldwide • Secure access to cheaper bandwidth, including Internet connectivity • Infrastructure that can support future ambitions for cloud use • Global SD-WAN solution incorporating MPLS, along with local and central Internet connectivity • Fully-outsourced approach including worldwide deployment and project management • Central visibility and control over applications to improve application performance • Increased resiliency and security • Improved flexibility to add and divest sites as required
